History
St Andrews House invited our first client into residence in 1987. This was only possible after a substantial renovation from dilapidated former Vicarage into a fully functioning care home. Our original registration was for 11 people and we had a small care team to assist Rosemary, Jeremy and Duncan Christophers in establishing the home. St Andrews House was one of five care homes, which operated in the area in the 1990’s.In 1996 the home was extended into its current form. This was carried-out in order to retain a viable home and to offer a more comprehensive range of services, particularly to resident with physical needs.
Sally Rhodes our Manager joined the team soon after the completion of the special care wing, which increased our capacity to 24 residents. She has worked tirelessly to achieve the best possible standards in care. During her long service with us she has attracted good quality assistance from our care team, many of whom have also been with us for many years. We are extremely proud of our status as Investors in People, and our training programme is second to none, with our care team being able to boast an array of qualifications that ensures the care beyond care provided in the home today.
