Our Staff
We place exceptional value on the exceptional people who work as part of the staffing team at St. Andrews House. From the moment someone joins us they are integrated into the team on the basis of level of skill and knowledge.Training
All of the staff undertake yearly updates of legislative training such as First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire. In addition to this we have a challenging and varied training programme. This is drawn up each year and will provide the staff with ample opportunity to learn and develop, not only as employees of St. Andrews, but benefit them in terms of personal development as well.
All staff have a period of induction training upon joining the team and this is backed up by on-going professional development as denoted by the Skills for Care Council.
Most members of staff have either finished or are actively pursuing NVQs at either Level 2 or 3. Our Manager is a qualified NVQ Assessor which speeds up the process of these qualifications.
We have recently been re-awarded the IIP charter mark and are currently setting in place new procedures which will ensure that this is renewed at the time of our next review.
